" ... know the difference between:
a man who flatters her and a man who compliments her,
a man who spends money on her and a man who invests in her,
a man who views her as property and a man who views her properly,
a man who lusts after her and a man who loves her,
a man who believes he's a gift to women, and a man who believes she's a gift to him.
and then we need to teach out sons to be that kind of man."

dragging right now. went to book sale. went to breakfast with j. then went to lunch with j and a. stopped at rn's with the animal because it wasn't fixed even though it was scheduled to be. grrrr. the woman after me, who was also bumped says to me, that the guy handling it has prison tatoos on him. i meant to ask how you tell this, but didn't. and no real way to find out except internet. who knows. way back, you had to ignore remarks like that because there was no real way to know. nowadays i wonder. i know they have a prison program there. omg! something else to deal with. so now i know why people often prefer vets over clinics.
had post t-day dinner at k's, formal in the dining room. love a formal table. he served fish, just like us. i cracked up when i saw it. all the normal sides and pie. his ceiling crashed on t-day. i think this kind of thing has happened over there before on holidays with him. i used to think it was clf doing it on purpose - some people are like that, cause drama to deflect things on holidays. can think of a long list of people like that and its like wth? but clf has been gone for several years now, throat cancer. the "mole" i thought i had on my chest developed a scab, so i don't need to check it out. yay! just a scratch. saw the two siamese cats at his house again, one talks and then swats or hisses at you. very strange and still hiding, the other stands behind the hissy one. beautiful but strange. the calico came back. yay! under the cupboard as before. i picked it up and brought it to rn's to be washed and she let us wash her and cut off the matted lumps of fur, she is medium haired, and in a cage above the black one until they come around. she spoils her animals a LOT so it should be okay. don't understand them when they get withdrawn like that, but it happens a lot with adult animals who's owner dies. hope she works out for adoption. if they are adopted and still act like that, they will end up returned, even though they are declawed. nice animals though. they are lap cats basically who's owners died. had an asthma attack at k's. i guessed from mold that may be in the ceiling that fell in. putting the heat on seemed to get rid of the spores and i could breathe again. never had asthma until a few years ago. we ate formal this year, odd to eat formal without classical music playing. his house was always full of music, but he doesn't bother anymore because his hearing isn't right. he can hear you over the phone and certain tones only. that must really suck for someone who is a professional musician. it would suck no matter what, but even more for people who's whole life is surrounded with music. want to get paint and do the deck myself, but we are still getting rain. wth? its about 80 outside today and sunny. we really have great weather in autumn and spring as long as one's swimming pool is heated.
