KITTIES
Well I got my kitties all *fixed* on Tuesday and they turned out to be all boys.. They handled it quite well but the mom (Trouble) dissapeared until the next day.
Anyways so where I took them was called *No more homeless pets*. They also give them their shots. They gave me a family rate for the mother and four kitties of $170 which was the price with the shots and the nutering and spay for the momma.
Yesterday when I got home from work the place called me and said they had found a home for two of my kitties. A girl named Joy and her boyfriend came over and picked up the two tabby little guys.. It made me so sad. She had two little blond hair boys with her and they were kinda little hell on wheels like most little boys are. I gave her a box of food for them and the boys grabbed my little fellers and took them out to the car. I got her phone number as I want to check on my guys and she gave it to me. When I looked in the car she had two dogs in the car. They were chiuwauwaus. Cute little dogs and I commented. Then she said she had a pitbull also at home.. Now Im scared.. My babys with a pit bull? It makes me so so sad.. I think I just made a big mistake.. She said the pitbull is very calm and they have never had a problem and I hate to be mean about a pitbull but comeone now, we have all heard that pitbulls can even turn on their owners.. I sure hope not but I am really scared.. And then she tells me that the pitbull was very good with her other kitty that she accidently stepped on and it died.. Ok now.. I should have grabbed my babys out of that car and ran. Why couldnt I do that? Why cant I stand up for something I know I should? I hope my babys will be alright.. I am going to keep the other two as Als grandaughter doesnt really seem that interesteds to get the peach one back.. I sure hope my babys are ok
Other then that everything is fine. Al got my boat out (my ex husband left it to me, its along story) and is getting the outdrive put on today and now we will be going boating for the summer. Its a 25foot cabin cruiser. Its an 89 but looks like new as Gary never took it out of his shop for the last 13 years.. It yellow and white and my Dodge truck is yellow so they look real good together.. Im so excited.. If I can just get my surgerys over with and enjoy the summer.. cant wait.. So if you guys want to come to Utah I will take you out fishing.. lmao..

I know how you feel about the kittens! We had a litter of 3 and thought they had gone to good homes...one the woman got tired of the kitten scratching her furniture and gave her away...another one was to neighbors upstairs who let it run ferrel, we scooped him up and took him to the no kill shelter and he was adopted immediately and the third one we kept, she was the luckiest one of all because we love her so much! I just have to pray that the first kitten is ok and in a good home! We couldn\'t keep any of the others as we have a 12 year old tabby cat and he\'s kind of grouchy...lol

I will be there next month lol...I love to fish...I think I would be calling this lady back and tell her that ur not comfortable with them being in the house with a pit bull and that you would like to pick them up..But it is all up to you and you got to have faith that they will make it, maybe even teach the pooch a few things are two lol..I am so proud of you for staying sober your doing great..Kimber has her second Birthday party on Saturday so am getting ready for that and quilting...Hope you have a super weekend...Love and Hugz Vic

I\'m with you on the bitbulls... but kitties are amazing creatures and are likely to thrive shearly because they are kitties- thats the kind of beast they are.

I have known 2 pit bulls. While I would never own one because of my own fears, both of these were very nice dogs and got along well with the other animals they lived with. I think the kitties will charm the dog and that will be the end of the story.
It is good to hear that you are a concerned pet owner. It breaks my heart to see a stray cat out trying to make it on there own. In OK they have a program that seniors, low income, and people with disabilities can get there animals nuetrered at a discount rate. I think that is so wise. Like someone else said cats can usually adjust even to wild little boys and pit bull dogs. Luv Jackie

VERY cool about the boat... so much fun, sorry about the kitties... make sure you call and check on them!! maybe you can drive by and accidentley put them in your car and drive away? cats run away all the time...
Cats kick arse,at kitty age the new owners will be keeping an eye on them anyway.But when they grow up?I\'ve seen a cat grab a dog in a death grip and kick the crap out of their throat.Just make sure new owners are looking after them and when they are old they\'ll rule the house x
My sister ran away with 3 kittens when she was about 8. She couldn\'t bear to part with them. Their mother was a stray who turned up with her 4 babies on our doorstep and died shortly after we found her. I still remember the horrible, empty feeling when those kittems got taken away. The one we kept was our most loving, even-tempered cat. You did the best you could, and this family sounds like they have a lot of experience with animals. Easy for me to say, but try not to worry.

Most of what we hear about Pitbulls are just not true. My sister works at a pet store for a very long time and had many dogs including pitbulls. They are very well behaved dogs. Just the ones people raise as mean are the problem. Any dog, including Chihuahuas can be raised wrong and be very mean. But most pitbullls are actually good dogs. The media likes to hang onto and create stereo types so their stories can be followed and read and get more readers/viewers. And then some people read the stories and actually get pitbulls and raise them to be mean, adding to the problem. It is like a snowball effect. But pitbulls are just not inherently bad dogs.
Do a search on the web about pitbullls and read all the information. From sources that actually have experience. I\'m sure your kitties will be fine.
