Kissed It
First, let me say I'm not crazy. Well, I really am but not out on a ledge yet. I say this because what I'm about to tell you isn't really believable. Or so I think. The other night Kit and I were playing. It can get a little rough sometimes. Nobody gets hurt or mad at each other. Well, I was sitting in my chair and Kit was making mad dashes at me as he growled and barked. I was returning the growling. He was snapping at me and I was keeping away from his sharp little teeth, but as I pulled away, the outside of my right index finger roughly brushed against one of his teeth. It didn't hurt him, but was quite painful to me and I yelled. He stopped and watched me as I held the finger, saying all kinds of words I hope he never learns. After a few minutes of listening to me yell, he jumped onto my lap and "kissed" the finger! He would look at me and kiss the finger again until I made him stop. I told him it wasn't his fault. After that, there were many hugs and kisses. I can't believe he singled out the hurt finger for the kisses and none of the others.

Our pets bond with us in wonderful ways. Because you have loved Kit as family he is able to respond that way. This is WONDERFUL!!!
Aww. I don\'t think you are crazy at all. What a wonderful story and I love Kit\'s concern for you! I believe that our pets are much more intelligent than we give them credit for. They are wonderful, devoted, caring, loving critters. I\'m beginning to think that God put them on earth just for man, to teach him goodness and compassion for others. (just a thought....lol). I know that I have loved all the dogs (and cats and birds and squirrels and turtles) that have crossed paths with me. I consider them \"gifts\". I wish you and Kit a blessed life together.
Hugs from P.T.
