I'm still recovering from that cholesterol med. i stopped taking it. i looked like i was ten years older when on it. i felt sick when i woke up in the morning and i had all kinds of muscle pain, even just to STAND was TONS of pain. omg! statins really show you what old age is like and what one day will happen. (if i live that long).
so instead, i woke up feeling great this morning. i am slowly looking more normal. and had the energy to hang out outdoors in the sunshine (though it was overcast half the day) it was around 90 today. yay! w came by after the out of town, garage sale and says his friend bought 55 acres with 4 houses for 42,000 out there. if he really did, i can't find it. he says it was listed for 275,000 and the woman just let it go because she is far away in connecticut and paying taxes on it for ten years but never using it. he says the taxes are 2200, which is ridiculously cheap for 55 acres. very odd, even if its greenbelted with cows and goats and all that. its supposed to be on a lake or the st. john's river. he's not sure which. really sounds too good to be true, but you never know. their name is tavistock or something like that. would love to look it up. so odd.
according to rn's neighbor (who rn talks about alllll the time) she claims rn is vicious and constantly saying crap. i hope for rn's sake, she is acting like that because of her high blood pressure. her husband used to be in an oldies band just south of the house up north and he left her for rn's best friend. he married the best friend, sold everything and moved to a commune in alabama. have no idea what of that is or isn't true. she used to be a nurse and in charge of alzheimers patients, but then she says she is dyslexic and didn't go to college. have never heard of a nurse with no college? (i'm being sarcastic). its IMPOSSIBLE actually. wth? this happens a lot around here. i have had housewives who claim to be r.n. nurses, but never worked as a nurse at all and never went to college, "they just say that"; and medical assistants who claim to have attended "medical school" and then you point out to them, that medical school is m.d. school that you attend AFTER a 4 year degree from a college and only IF you get in. its a thing around here. though she isn't from here. really odd though. isn't it easier to just say what you are and leave it at that. what's creepy, is a lot of them make up all kinds of crap and like to assume the person they are talking to is also making up crap and then it stares them in the face that it isn't crap and they kind of freak out. have no idea what to think of that at all. in miami they would chew that person up and spit it out, ditto in phili. not used to it though, and i probably should be after being here for over ten years.
bill, had a woman who claimed to have a degree in nursing and wanted a supervisor job after 6 months of working there. she got the job and when they checked her references discovered she didn't have a nursing degree nor any degree. her response was that she didn't think they would really check it and what difference does it make if she can do the job. she was really mad about it. if she really wanted that job, why didn't she just sign up for college classes, there are schools all over the place. same thing happens when i interview people, they claim to be all kinds of things over the phone, then they come in to fill out an application and they don't have ANY of what they say over the phone. then they stare at you like hoping you weren't taking notes and won't remember. hmmm, yes we take notes.
went to the marina for a little while. its still DEAD down there. so much for our economy recovering. the beach was packed again though. i have discovered from trying to "unplug" no internet or tv, that if i don't write as i'm inspired, at that exact moment, my writing skills go down the tube. not good. i think summer is here. opened windows and turned on ceiling fans. its funny how it goes from the lamb/lion thing (mostly in the evening) to just plain hot, with no in between. have never adapted to the weather here. its easier in miami.

Loved the quote....so true!
Great that you are feeling better after getting off the Cholesterol meds.
So fun to read about your Motley Crue and friends.
You know.....living in the south, you never know what you are going to get with weather. We always say in TX, if you don\'t like the weather, just wait 5 minutes.....it will change.
Wishing you a great week.
Glad to hear you\'re feeling better after getting off that medicine! Hope you\'re having a better week, now! *HUGS*
thanks, i went back to the original lovastatin, i\'m on 40 mg because i started getting pressure on the brain again without it, even with aspirin. its still scary when that happens and i don\'t want to contemplate what it is. it freaks my doctor out though.
there is a meme about miami and it shows sunshine and beautiful everything 3:45 and then it show torrential rain and wind and dark sky, 3:50 lol. so true.
I\'m glad you are feeling better... I know how bad meds can make you. Enjoy the sunshine... more of it is to come.
