kinda funny....
As a Reiki practitioner...my family is so quick to judge my work. I know that it is because of fear, and that they dont understand it. i get this and accept it.
Kind of a funny blessing today.... my dad asked me to work on him. He has a very broken back... a steel rod holding his spine together which has recently broke. He is in an incredible amount of pain each and every day. It had been this way for 25 years now.
So, he decided he wasnt going to laugh at me today.. LOL I put him on my Reiki table and did a Reiki massage just on the back of the neck, shoulder blades and spine.
He was somewhat shocked I think...his pain alleviated quickly and he could feel the Reiki energy.
for good measure I gave him a chunk of rose quartz to sleep with tonight...he should sleep like a baby :) He was cracking up the whole time, telling my mother to take notes. hahahaha
Tomorrow, we may be back to square one, but for tonight...he is feeling the energy. :)

That\'s great that your dad finally broke down and let you work on him. He\'s going to want another session today LOL.. (Hugs) - Hell, I want one!!!
that is so very cool. How neat to be able to help your father this way! I need to call the woman who can teach me and get that going.. Besides apple picking, I have tentative plans to go to my friends house, who gave me her number, and get a full treatment.....I\'m looking forward to that....

Ha, I just recoommneded Reiki to my mother for her terrible back pain, after reading this - actually, she is off to the pot clinic for the first time today, and dad has started growing pot, so now I ahve pothead parents, lol! I still don\'t understand Reiki, hear about it all the time, but I am also a skeptic, but an open-minded skeptic.
