Kind of a tough week
I, like many others was shocked and saddened to hear of Whitney Houston's death. I am always touched when someone passes from this life, whether it is a celebrity or, someone that I have personally known in my life.
Thursday morning, a friend of mine passed away. I had known her for years and, I have been asked to do her funeral Monday. She was 82.
Monday, will also be the anniversary of my dad's promotion into Heaven 33 years ago. My dad was my best friend. He never gave up on me during my first hard and disastrous 29 years of my life. When I was saved, my dad became my best encourager and best fan. He sat in the third pew and heard me preach my first message in 1976. He was proud of me and the last 5 years he lived here, on this earth, he became my best friend.

I hear you loud and clear my heart has been heavy as well for whitney and her family. You do have a rough week and I will take note of this while i make mention of you in my prayers as all of this is pulling on heart strings.

I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR FRIEND. GOSH PEEWEE, ANOTHER FUNERAL. PRAISE GOD THAT YOUR DAD NEVER GAVE UP ON YOU AND YOU TWO BECAME BEST FRIENDS BEFORE HE WENT HOME TO BE WITH THE LORD. Great big hug of comfort for you Peewee... it\'s so hard to let those go who we love... I had that relationship with my Mom and I miss her everyday....I try and take comfort in the blessings Ive had to... sometimes though it just plain hurts...xo
