That’s why we’ve created a nurturing, inspiring environment where students feel empowered to explore, take creative risks, and refine both their artistic vision and technical skills. The NSW Government Creative Kids initiative is all about making it easier for school-aged kids to get involved in creative and cultural activities. Parents, guardians and carers can claim a $100 voucher per year to put towards the cost of lessons and fees with registered Creative Kids providers. It’s a great opportunity to let kids find their passion and learn new skills!
Scrapbook Cottage offers both beginners and intermediate scrapbooking classes for children and adults covering a range of scrapbooking techniques and including a variety of different themes; from card making workshops to Disney Fan Club marathons. They also run Kids Club classes in the school holidays which are a huge hit with children and parents alike. WAC users have access to a wide range of professionally equipped studios. There are three large adaptable studios used for painting and drawing, as well as ceramics, printmaking, jewellery & sculpture studios, with space also for children’s art. The WAC is supported by a group of over 30 independent teaching artists offering first-rate tuition across 60 classes each week. By joining our Creative Kids art program Australia, your child will receive individualised attention, explore different artistic mediums, and gain confidence in their abilities.

My two boys have been coming to Shichida for almost two years now. I have seen their independence grow and their ability to remember and learn increase. My oldest son is now reading at almost a grade two level at the end of Prep last year.
The students engage in drawing from observation, images/photographs, and imagination, and focus on multiple age-appropriate sketching/drawing artists. The children also look at perspective and proportion and how this can be successfully depicted through drawn artworks, a valuable skill to any artist! We encourage creative drawing and welcome all experience levels.
We pay our respects to the elders past and present and extend that respect to all First Nation people who visit our website and join our classes. Your child will be guided by Sophie, a brilliant and kind art educator from Off With The Pixies, with Lucy from Studio Inner West assisting with supervision, set-up and support. We provide all your materials and an abundance of fresh native flowers and leaves or gum leaves, for you to choose from. Looking for an activity for the kids on June 6th Student free day ? This workshop will cover the the basics of weaving techniques on a small loom. You will learn how the warp up your loom and get started on your weaving Journey. This is the perfect opportunity to learn the fundamentals of clay hand building. You will learn mark making and blending colours creating your own work from the garden, using your newly acquired skills with confidence.
Students will have the opportunity to develop painting skills exploring conceptual and perceptual processes. This is not the usual sip and paint workshop, this is a skill based lesson experience. All art materials, paints, 300gsm paper and brushes will be provided for this workshop. A class size limit of 12 students per tutor provides the ideal group for social interaction with peers who share similar interests while ensuring plenty of one-on-one interaction between each student and the tutor. Only eight students per class to ensure an ideal student‒teacher ratio. This course is for students preparing for the NSW HSC Visual Arts Course.
