Kiddush Fountain

A kiddush fountainis a great way to dress up the table and elevate your Shabbat or holiday dinner. It combines a central funnel into which you pour wine and a set of 8 small cups on a stand that cunningly hides the pipes. After the blessing is recited, the wine trickles from the large cup into the smaller cups around the fountain in an impressive display that will delight kids and adults alike.

Using the same principle as a fountain, the Jewish ritual object designer Yair Emanuel has created a wonderful kiddush cup set with a beautiful nickel fountain that dispenses eight smaller cups into which to serve Kiddush at your next Shabbat or Holiday meal. A beautiful silver plated Kiddush cup sits on the top of the fountain and the wine flows through a series of hidden pipes to fill the smaller cups underneath.

Kiddush cup fountains are a relatively new invention and represent an ancient Jewish ideal reimagined for modern life. In the past, it was common to use a mug or a cup that could be easily thrown away if it got dirty or lost. But today, most Jews prefer to use a beautiful silver Kiddush cup that they can keep and pass down through the generations.

A handmade Kiddush cup from Jerusalem will become an important part of the family collection and a treasured keepsake that will be enjoyed week after week as it is used to celebrate the most holy of days. A prestigious Kiddush cup is an important symbol of the observance of Jewish tradition, and it will help to unite the family and create a sense of joy and anticipation for each Shabbat and Holiday meal.
