Keto rash for two months
So late sept I started keto(weighed 152) around October 29-30. I got the rash when i was at a rave. I thought it was due to heat, like a heat rash so I ignored it. In November it started to get stronger, would flare up more and stress was a big trigger. I would work out everyday hardcore and sweat and sit in the sauna for about 20-25 minutes. I didn’t want to stop keto as I was seeing amazing results, anyways everyone was telling me it’s the diet, get off the diet, but I didn’t want to get out of ketosis.I went to a clinic they said it’s a heat rash and gave me Benadryl and steroids injections and allergy pills. I took them for a week no difference (i was still doing keto) when I would shower it would really flare up really bad. One night I decided to go to the er (at that time I had no idea it was a Keto rash ) doctor had no idea what I had finally diagnosed me with fungai and gave me cream for my rash. It didn’t work. About a couple days ago I went to the er again, made them take my blood to see what’s going on. Doctor tells me I have high cholesterol and the rash is flares up because your cholesterol is high. In my head I’m like wtf? I don’t know how the two are related. Anyways couple days later which is today 12/21/18 (i weigh136)it’s so bad it use to be separate little dots everywhere, but now it’s one big rash from my chest, stomach, entire back, and shoulders. Today My sister in law searched Keto rash and it’s the same fuckin one all these months Of going to the doctor was a waste. I mean I found out I have high cholesterol, but I never found out what was the rash was from. Anyways here I am today not completely stressed out, because I found out it’s the Keto rash. I’m going to up my carbs to see if that works. I’m going to cut dairy and cheese. I’m in full blown ketosis. Doctor knew i was in ketosis but he didn’t know about Keto rash ! Makes sense why I may have this, because I have an app to track my meals specifically for keto. I have 10net carbs as my max carbs and I don’t have carbs at all so hopefully this helps me get rid of the rash. I cant wait till it’s gone (hopefully) and get back to being in strict keto.
