Karma\'s Gonna Get You

I live on the north coast of NSW - an area just declared a natural disaster area due to massive flooding.We are fine as we live up in the hills and apart from a slow trip into town due to some road damage we have escaped unscathed. Many did not.Yesterday we heard a wonderful story. A man, lets call him George, has a beautiful golden lab, Goldie. Unfortunately , recently.she was attacked in a savage and brutal manner by neighbouring dogs. George took Goldie to the vet and had her patched up at a cost of nearly $1000. He asks the owners of the dogs to pay half - but they refused, denying any responsibility.Earlier this week when the flood waters in many areas began to rise at an alarming rate George's neighbours were forced to move to the upper floor of their home, taking their dogs with them. The waters continued to rise so they had to ask George as he had a small boat, to ferry them and their dogs to safety.George didn't hesitate - even though the neighbours had been so unhelpful about the vet bills.Apparently the three dogs were pretty weak swimmers but George got them all into the boat and to higher ground.Since the rescue the neighbours have been much more agreeable about helping out with the vet bills.
