Karen\'s funeral

I preached Karen's funeral today at 11 am.  She was my wife's childhood friend.  She was 58 years old.  She died of Cancer.  She fought hard and through her sickness, I was able to lead her 77 year old mom to Christ. I preached on "Heaven- A prepared Home.  Karen was a fiery redhead but she loved her family.  She had a daughter and a son that are grown.  She and her second husband  had 10 great years together. My wife and I visited Karen at her home and we also visitedher almost every day in the hospital tilll her death.  The last 3 days, she was iin a coma but, not in any more pain. Funerals are hard for me, always have been but, moreso since my son was killed 3-1/2  years ago but, I am blessed to be a man that the Lord called to be a preacher and a Pastor.  I have preached funerals of friends that were in their 90's and also of those who are younger than I am, that i grew up with.
