Karma?
Well I have the details of my mothers estate......and all I can say is THANK GOD! I have nothing to do with it.
My cousin....her nephew has been living with her for the last year and a half....supposedly taking care of her, what a laugh! She was still paying a housekeeper, and some one to cut the lawn.....so I'm not sure what he was doing.
She had no life insurance, no insurance on the mortgage, medical bills in Florida and property in Florida. By the time everything is settled there may not be anything there anyway......the house may have to be sold. He really doesn't understand any of it. He seems to believe he is set, I think he is going to have a big wake up call.
I am trying to stay out of it.....I would like to get on the house and get the photo albums at least......it is my childhood not his.
At least we had life insurance on the student loan that she co signed for my daughter, so half of her student loan should be paid for.
Maybe there is something to karma after all! We shall see how this plays out.....in the end it is a blessing that I don't have to deal with all this mess.

death brings out the best and the worst in different people. i know of a family that went to war over a piano. these are just material things and yet some people are so greedy and need to cause confict when we should just be thinking of the good memories and be at peace.
Congratulations. It is hard to deal with such a controversial loss. Best not to add insult to injury. Now you can deal with your personal grief without the extra burden.

Very wise to saty out of it as much as possible. I do so hope though that it works out OK. I do think it\'s possible your cousin might indeed get a wake up call though.
All in all it\'s not nice for anyone to have to go thru all this & I guess it can reaffirm how important it is as you get on in life to alot of these things organized.
