Well, my son has been a mixed bag about getting to school on time. Today he was not, but he has had a few good runs lately.
He told me last night that he’s gotten a few 100’s on some tests & quizzes in his new classes. He says the classes are “easy”. I asked if he’s been keeping up with the homework in them & he gave a vague answer….We’ll see what happens.
My daughter has been on the internet a lot lately. No place earth-shattering, but it seems that she is more attracted to the virtual world than the real one. She claims that “nobody likes her” at school, which is not true. She’s not in the popular crowd, but she has some solid core friends there, as well as youth group & Scouts. I pointed this out to her & told her not to neglect the real world for the virtual one. Gotta keep an eye on that.
Next year, she will be old enough to volunteer at the aquarium (which she’s been dying to do since she was 6), so that will be a positive thing.
As for me, I’ve been plugging away at the genealogy. I guess you could say that’s my virtual world! A good place to be when my son is acting like a you-know-what!
