Justin Elliott

A friend in brain cancer world died tonight. He was a University of Georgia student, so brave, so good.

His parents are Ellen and Ed. I will invite her to come here... after a little while. She was very active on www.yasg.com, the Young Adult Survivors of Glioblastoma. She understands how we really do make a difference to each other.
Oh Justin. So much like Andy, he just wanted to keep doing his thing, and not slow down for cancer. On Thursday night, after two years of fighting GBM, he was flown to Emory. And last night taken to hospice... hemorrhage in the brain, just like Andy. I hope he didn't feel the headache Andy felt, that explosion like a bomb going off inside his poor head.
I have been feeling the earth move all day as Justin transitioned. Leaking tears, railing against the shittiness of cancer in young people, looking for solace... everywhere. I hurt so much for his family and it brings such vivid memories back to the surface... 11 months ago Andy was transitioning out of this earth experience to something... somewhere...
I hope that 'something, somewhere' is incredible. Wherever you guys are, I'm sending you lots of love. Raising a glass to you. All love.
