Just writing a little.....
Well, it's been awhile since I've written but there's not really been much to tell...and that should be good news, yes? I think for the most part it is :) Of course, there are the usual frustrations with meds, tiredness...blah blah blah but that will never end and that's ok. I'm happy that I have no appointment until September so I can have a nice summer not being bothered by doctors and stuck by needles for blood work LOL
I have heard only once from Walter Reed. It seems the doctor there that works with me has been deployed and the nurse was only maternity leave. In any event, they e-mailed me and didn't tell me the status of my last MRI but said they were waiting to see what Georgetown wanted to do about it. So....I can only assume that since I'm not hearing anything then things must be ok for now. My social worker did call and see how I am doing and I assured him that I am still taking all of my meds, and getting rest and doing what I'm supposed to be doing and NOT doing what I'm NOT supposed to be doing. And he also made sure to tell me (as my other docs did) that just because the labs came back pretty normal doesn't mean I'm fine and not to let people assume that I'm back to my normal self. Of course no one on here has to be told that lab results are no indication of how you actually feel, they are only a number.
So I'm looking forward to some time with my husband this summer and a trip to California to see my in-laws in September (wow, that's gonna be a very long plane trip for me) and basically just doing what the docs tell me to do :) I'm a good little patient I think....now I think they owe it to me to make my tummy aches go away! Maybe next time around.....
Hugs and prayers...
