Just wondering?
Hey everyone, I was just wondering, how many times does someone who's beenĀ dependent on the same fool for so long, because I just did it again. I fell for the same story, I won't do that again (drink, etc.) I packed up his stuff AGAIN and my sister is going to help me take it out of here. The total ironic thing is that he just got out of the hospital and was on his way to "I thought" getting better help. Anyway, I feel like the fool who helped an even bigger fool again. SJH

Don\'t be too hard on yourself. We all want to trust those in our lives.
Your not a fool. You care and sometime its hard to give up and move on.Only lf we had a switch we could turn our feelings off and on.
I am assuming that he has a drinking problem...perhaps an alcoholic? My first husband had this problem...it took me years of taking him back over and over to realize that he could not control his drinking...and nor could I. I always hated roller coasters, so I finally realized that I was the one that was always \"buying\" the ticket to \"ride\" the crazy ride...so it dawned on me one day that I was responsible for me and could control only me so I did not \"buy\" the ticket to \"ride\" the \"rollercoaster\" anymore...it was the best decision I made for myself and my kids...and yes, after 19 years, he still drinks and has added drugs to the mixture...Good luck. And yes, I felt foolish...later I realized that I was as addicted to him as he was to the alcohol...it took me working through this realization (12 years) to be ready to make the change. We each are responsible for our own lives.
You are so right Ann. I moved him out and have not answered any calls nor called him. I am now dealing with being alone and that isn\'t easy for me even with my dog. Thank you! SJH
