Just want to relax
So its been 11 days since my horrible bleeding incident and I had finally started to think maybe it was gonna be ok, Yesterday afternoon exactly a week after the last time I saw blood and nearly a week since all spotting stopped there was brown spotting and I was so gutted, I knew it wasn't necessarily something to panic about but nevertheless I of course did panic a bit!
I rang my midwife and she was really nice and calmed me down a bit. she said she expected this to happen and not to worry, I was more worried because there was no sign of even brown spotting for a week and now this. Of course I spent the whole evening waiting for it to turn to fresh blood even though she told me its just the remainder of the bleed clearing out. Its just so hard to trust things can still be ok!
I hardly slept all night every twinge or wet feeling had me rushing to the toilet to check, today it has just been brown when a wipe and a little making it to a liner so I know realistically its nothing to worry about but all the normal pains of being 18 weeks pregnant now feel like warning signs. And every wipe I'm scrutinising to see if it has a pinker tinge than the last in case its the start of the end!!
Its mentally exhausting!!! My anatomy scan is 12 days away and I just wish it was a little closer but they had no sooner appointment, I know it will be here before I know it but 12 days just concentrating on feeling baby move to make me sure its still ok seems like a long time.
Of course things all feel a bit strange too just to add to the worry, baby was kicking around quite a bit for a while there, then in the last few days the movement seems less and the gassy type cramps seem worse. I know its likely just my brain or that the baby has moved and all that but you all know how it is.
It often makes me feel better to hear all you other ladies worrying about these things too because it makes me feel like it doesn't necessarily mean theres anything to worry about!!

Was just about to add a shout out to all you ladies still struggling with IF and those with their babies home safe but I hit the enter button instead of the arrow key. Think of you all all the time!
I think you will worry for a while, probably until you hold your baby in your arms. A SCH isn\'t fun and just adds lots of stress but it\'s rarely an issue to the baby atthis point.
At this point your lucky to feel the baby move a lot since it\'s your first pregnancy. It takes a while for it to be often and strong. If your worried, I\'m sureyiur midwife can have you listen to the HB.
Stay strong, you\'ll get your scan soon enough.
I completely understand where you are coming from, I am a worrier myself and I go through these panic phases every so often too, especially the closer I get to my appointments. I\"m not sure if it\'s just our way of preparing ourselves that something could be wrong or if IF has just jaded us in some way to always think there will be an issue. Just know you are not alone in this and that we are here to listen. After my scare yesterday, I felt and still feel so emotionally drained! I\"m sure the midwife is right and that it\'s just the old blood. I think as long as you are not cramping horribly and have bright red blood then you should be good. ((HUGS))
