Just updating
My brain is pretty scrambled just now. It's getting closer to another holiday, when family is supposed to show each other how much they care. I always dread them. I sent out some cards the other day. Got them 2 for $1 at the Dollar Tree. I do hope it is the thought that counts. So many people nowadays judge on money, and I don't have any.
Sent one card to my Mormon daughter in Utah. I could never seem to do the right thing with her. So I messed everything up when her son got married a few months ago and I ignored it. Got a printed invite, first contact in many months, that just screamed that it was a plea for a gift. So I ignored it. Love the kid, but never once in the past heard a "Thank you" for a card or gift. So I ignored him. Yes, I feel like crap about that.
Sent a card to my "baby" and his wife in PA. He's never been mean to me. Now and then I get a text on my phone saying "I love you" or "Have a great day." Last week I texted back that I'd love to hear his voice sometime. Silence. He's the one who has brought my evil sister back into the fold. She's in AZ and has a perfect life. She has megabucks, including all my parents money and stuff. She's managed to make herself over and now is gorgeous. I know this because I saw her pic on Facebook. My so is finally able to be online because I sent him my old laptop. So he's on Facebook and she's his "friend." This sucks.
I'm holding the card for the son who lives close-by. He'll be here for Easter dinner. He's the one with all the mental and physical problems. Now he has been dating online. Announced yesterday that he has proposed to a woman in Texas. No, they haven't met. He says it is just so wonderful how they agree on everything - meaning religion. He scammed me into signing for a $7000 loan for him to get a new heatpump a couple of months ago. Loan will be for five years. What are the odds that I will get stuck with it just like his dad got stuck for $16,000! Yeah, this son talks to me - I wonder, is that a good thing?
Also update on my husband's health and wellbeing. Saw the Oncologist yesterday. The "benign" tumor by his spine, which he has had for four years, is acting up. Scheduled for scans on Thursday. He's had Myelodysplasia for many years now. They will check to see if it is turning into Multiple Myealoma.
That is just the tip of the iceberg of health problems which he has. I have my own, but nobody will ever notice, as I am nothing but the caregiver. Yeah, that's a "poor me" statement, but I feel I'm allowed one now and then. I cook, I clean, I shop, I chauffeur; and I sit quietly, while he takes his many naps, because any little noise in this mobile home will disturb him.
So how is you week?
