Just trying to cope.... One Day at a time!

I am doing a bit better and just got home from taking my Kids to New York City for the weekend of Christmas shopping.... We had fun for sure but I had to fight off thoughts of the Ex and her son. What I learned was to focus on what I HAVE instead of what I was MISSING. It helps to remind myself often of how badly I was treated and i find that i almost hate my ex sometimes. I never liked allowing myself to feel this way but maybe its normal...
I am pretty sure I am going to be ok in time and for now... I just allow myself to feel everything.... It sure is hard sometimes to know how to process the feelings.

We learn from what we survive and you have faced so much to learn from. When our hearts are broken and we have experienced such emotional harm it makes learning these life lessons difficult but so necessary for our survival.

Keep being good to yourself and allow the healing to continue.

It sounds like you\'re getting stronger. I think you\'re really onto what counts here by focusing on what you have (& maybe what you\'d like for yourself) & letting yourself feel. I know it\'s painful, but I think you\'re really brave to let yourself start processing some of that - I believe this is also how you make it possible to move through it.

Keep going, it sounds like you\'re doing things just right!
