Just thoughts

Well.I am 6 months in to this diabetes and still navigating through the ups and downs in both my numbers and emotions.Have discovered a lot of foods I can and cannot have.I was in the mood for breakfast at dinner and so I decided that I wanted to try my whole grain cream of wheat.I love cream of wheat and oatmeal but oatmeal raises my sugar to much.So I had egg and turkey bacon and a half cup of cream of wheat and blood sugar was 137.I was happy and its under the 140...
This 6 months has been a learning experience.I have days when Im okay with it and days when Im not.My oldest daughter has a really good friend whose older sister passed away a week ago from kidney failure. She was in her early 20s and had diabetes and she was on a transplant list.Unfortuneately it did'nt happen. It's things like that, that throws me when I hear about it because Im doing everything I know to do to keep this in control and I wonder then how much control do I really have over this.Am I doing all this only to end up losing in the end. Then I give myself a mental slap and tell myself to get it together..
Stinkin thinkin leads nowhere.I will continue my walks 5 days a week on my treadmill and my weights and ab workouts and eating the way I should and believe that all will be well, because if I dont then I will surely just go crazy.I am sure there will be some days still that I get mad because I can no longer have something I enjoyed.I will press on...
