Just smiling!
You'd think it is just too simple to be true, but it's not! Just by puting a smile on your face can change the way you are feeling! I have seen it done by those you would think had nothing to smile about! People in a lot of pain, people diagnosed with cancer and people at their lowest time in life! Well after a while I think back to when I was always smiling and how happy I felt no matter what! I gave it a try and I am happier when I smile! And it's contagous too! When I was a little girl I played a game with brothers and sisters while in the car. We would see how many people we could get to return a smile or a wave and it was almost always successful! I would say 99.9% of the time! Of course it didn't hurt that we were so young and cute that they couldn't help but respond to us! LOL! MY older sisters use to get me to sell the girlscout cookies because I had the cutest babyface. Yeah when I was twelve I still looked like I was six. But it got better for me by the time I was 18yrs. then most thought I was 12yrs old! LOL! While all my friends would get upset if someone thought they were younger than they actually were, I was fasinated and amused everytime but one! I was on a double date and couldn't find my ID when asked for it at a disco bar. No one of my group realized I hadn't gotten through! LOL! After a minute they all turned around and saw me still outside the door and came back to vouch for my age and the guy at the door knew them well and let me in. But still through it all I was smiling. Why not? YOu have to ask yourself what's the worst thing that can happen if I keep smiling? Nothing! Well if you were my sons in marine bootcamp then yeah you would be asking for trouble if you were smiling! But other than that I can't think of a place you should not smile. So smile! And the more you dont want to smile the bigger you should smile! I swear it will make you feel better than you did before you smiled! May all my friends have a smile on their face and good thoughts in their heads!
