Just saw my street on TV
Surreal. I just saw my street on TV. I am 30 miles northeast of my home and we srill have power here at this moment.
The reason the reporter was on my street is that the electric transformer was smoking. They said it didn't blow (yet). But I tried calling my neighbor and there was no answer. So it's probable that her house and my house and the whole neighborhood has lost power already.
And the street is starting to flood.
This is getting real.

That definitely makes it more real when you see that on the news. I'm so glad you aren't there alone. I sure hope the flooding isn't bad and damage can be prevented. I can't imagine living anywhere near the coast and having to deal with hurricanes. Tornadoes are enough for me, and we don't have to worry about flooding with those. Hang in there.
OK, well, it's a darned good thing you left when you did! Dear, Lord, help us! What a disaster! Much love.
Glad you're not on your street, and I know that feeling of surreality. Gentle hugs and support.
Wow, glad you aren't there then! Scary to see it unfolding on the news, though. I hope damage is minimal if there is any.... hugs, thinking of you....
