Just over 4 years & still at it. OMG!
So tonight I decided to come back to DS. I read my 1st journal (& only) entry and sounds and feels like the same but X 4 years now.
Once again have another court date. That one I spoke of never happened. I thought then we were on our final days to a solution not realizing it would go on 2 more years.
Yes he is still on Pain Mgmt at max doses. MRI in March 2012 showed damage and another in July 2013 showed it worse. Now sleeps in recliner most every night. Really sucks on a relationship. No personal contact any more. Falls frequently. Total frustration. Federal Workers Comp. Do I need to say more?
I love my hubby and vowed for better or worse. It is worse.
Where are the so called friends? In the wind. I have to try to maintain my home and property. My kids live away. My step son close enough to visit regularly to help but doesn't. Good young man but a child should not have to be asked to come help. They should just come and DO. I DID!!
What I said I did... my dad died just over 90 days ago. I fortunately was there for the end. Now have my mom closer which is a blessing but whole new dynamic to learn. And not always can I be there for her like I want. Fortunately my parents raised us to come together as a family and work thru a very hard time. I am thankful for my sister!
So nothing has changed. Just add 2 years, lots of tears, loneliness, sadness, and a massive amount of frustration. That is my LIFE in a nutshell.

Unfortunately, diseases of any kind don\'t usually get better. PD like your husband has or COPD like my husband has are very progressive. I do know that feeling of loneliness and wondering where our so called friends are. And three of his kids only seem to stop when one of their family is sick so they can spread the wealth, thus making hubby sick. Yea for many of us it\'s \"worse\" not better. Not what we planned our future to be that\'s for sure.
Hang in there. Get on DS/here often it really does help.
Hugs, Sandy
Thanks for the comments! It took me 2 years to come back. A rough two years. Alot has changed around here. Surgery was done almost 2 weeks ago. Successful surgery but outcome is questionable. He is up and walking from upper den to bathroom so that is good.
Thanks for the support again. I really should have come back earlier. Maybe I would have not been so lonely.
