Just one of those days
It's been a tough morning..That "suffocating" feeling has returned. At least I'm not bawling..as long as I don't talk about it I've been able to keep it together. I miss my son so much. I looked into his room last night and the memories of kissing him good night and watching him sleep came flooding back, almost as if I were watching a movie. It's never going to go away, is it? My poor baby...one moment hes sitting in the car anxious about going to Sea World and the next his entire life is just over! I know he's in a better place, he's with the lord..I trust that..but he should be here, with me..planning his big birthday party, playing and fighting with his brother. Jon and I are going to watch Cars 2 today..he should be here to see it with us :(
I have a dinner meeting with Congressman Reyes on Wednesday, I don't know how much help he can be to Jarrett's Law but its worth a shot. I got 200 car decals in print for supporters of Jarrett's Law. I cant wait to see them on cars all over the country, I have more manufacturers on standby to make more once we run out of the first set. I'm getting frustrated with the Car Seat Company, they are not responding to my request for the car seats, so I'm going to start soliciting help from the local department stores. I really want to make Jarrett Memorial Birthday a big deal..I cant let this city forget..

Last night I heard a physiologist say on television \"Your have to feel to heal.\" Don\'t fight what comes naturally, if you need to cry don\'t fight it, cry all you want and need to. You are doing so much so quickly after Jarrett\'s death you must be exhausted. As everyone here says be gentle with yourself and let yourself grieve in whatever way you need to. Sending you love and prayers, Terry
Be gentle with yourself my friend. What you are doing is amazing very proud of you
And in \"just one of those days\" is your healing... tiny, tiny steps into the pain and finding ways to help save other lives. This is amazing and such a courageous venture and in it will be your healing too. Blessings on this day dear one. XO Joanie
No, the pain never fully goes away...but the intensity of it does fade...at least for me it has. Like Joannie says, tiny, tiny steps...
So proud of all you\'re doing! Hope the meeting goes well and that the car seat people get onboard and excited. You\'re doing an awesome thing! Jarrett will be remembered!
JARRETT!!!!!!!!!
Ditto everyone else ~ no, the pain does not go away, but it does loosen up enough for us to focus on other aspects of our lives without the pain being front, back and center. You are the mother of two wonderful little boys ~ Jarrett and Jon and that will never, ever change. The positive steps you have taken and continue to take to give back something of value to the world out of your deep sorrow are truly inspiring ~ especially so early in the game.
Please remember to go easy on yourself, to forgive yourself, to love yourself and to take it one breath, one step at a time.
Sending love and big, tight hugs ~ Debbie
Up and down...for a long time...but it does change...you must go through it all...take gentle care...Karen
