Just needed to share a little good news
Losing Amos ..... I can't sleep tonight. You all know what stress does to a body with CFS. Add to that a new puppy to keep up with and begin training ....... Ah, no sleep tonight. Just sittin' in the dark thinkin', prolly too much.
I remembered posting the story about Brutus, the Rotweiler, who appeared in our yard back in autumn of 2014. His owner had been searching for him for 8 days and had almost given up on finding him ......by some miracle of circumstances, Brutus' owner and I made contact, and Brutus went safely home. His owner took him to the vet and discovered that he had been shot with a .22, and the bullet was still in the dog.
if any of my DS friends remember those journals, I just want you to know that Brutus is doing well. I have, quite by accident, become acquainted with the mother of Brutus' owner. I see her every week or so. She keeps me posted, and I keep telling her if they ever get tired of Brutus .... just call me. It took Brutus a long time to recover, but he is happy and healthy and doing well - better than his family ever expected!
There is always something good somewhere in this world. We don't have to look very hard to find it. We just have to know it when we see it.

I remember Brutus. I'm so glad to hear he is doing well. I know how much a stress like this can mess with a CFS body. You will have to rest as much as you can. I know it's hard. Just lie down, at least, even if you don't sleep. Much love.
I do remember the story of Brutus! It's great to hear an update - I'm glad you connected with Brutus' grandma. I hope you get some rest and sleep after your difficult days with the loss of Amos and adjusting to the new puppy.
I am newby friend pr. dogs are amazing aren't they. I love this about country life, the bonds that are forged with time and roots. Those cows, chickens cats (feral) horses.all help save my spirit when I was a kid growing up abused. their love and companionship helped me survive.
