Just need to quality myself........
I removed myself from a group today which, for reasons of personal integrity, shall remain nameless for the purpose of this journal entry. I have finally succombed to mirroring something that I hate. It is called intolerance.
I will not be cohesive nor participate in uplifting any cause that is directed at any peoples ethnic, religious, gender or sexual persuasion. I will defend to the death your right to disagree in your opinion with any of these ideals. However, I will not take part in generating hateful or spiteful remarks or causes.
I will also defend to the death, even when I am not in agreement, your individual right to freedom to be a part of the disdaining factor at which these remarks were directed.
For the record, I am proud to be called a Christian. A follower of the Living jesus Christ. Last time I looked the Good Book promotes tolerance and love not spitefullness or hate.

I am also an American. A citizen of the United States of America where individual rights are supposedly considered sacred. (Remember The Bill of Rights?) Oh yeh - you have a right to your opinion for sure. But if you openly solicit intolerant parrticipation of any kind... Don't even waste your time or mine... I am making my own opinion count...
Right here. Right now. When it comes to hate mongering, discrimination, intolerance or whatever you want to name it..........

Good for you for having the integrity to stick with your principles. Sounds like you are better off out of it.
There are too many nice people who are accepting of the differences of people in this world. Glad you left the my way or else group. Intolerance is hard to root out entirely. Hugs.
