Just letting off some steam....

I have priced the cheapest gas water heater that is not a whirlpool (because those are the ones everyone is having a problem with now) and it is $299 plus tax and installation.  It will be 1-2 months for me to come up with that.   I just feel like I keep getting all the crap.  I came here back to my home in GA in January.  After 4 years of letting a friend and her family live here to help them out, while I was in IL.  I was trying to find a rental place so I didnt have to kick them out of the house, but then found out she lied to me about making the mortgage payments on time and my credit was destroyed so no one would rent to me.  I had no choice but to give them a 30 day notice.  My house was destroyed.  4 years of no cleaning.  They ripped off cabinet doors.  About 30 holes in the walls.  The entire house of carpet had to be ripped out (nasty and semlled of urine).  The master bathroom non usable.  We redid the hall bathroom and spent a week scrubbing the concrete slab from under the carpets, then painted it to seal it out.  Still have no floors - just concrete.  My yard was also destroyed.  I was able to save one of the 2 ponds.  I put in a new pond pump in February, and a pond light in April.  Both of which have decided to not work anymore in this last week as well. Recap:  In 2002 I lost my job when a friend I got a job for there, decided she wanted my job and lied to get it.  2003 - had to move to where work was and 2 weeks later my oldest son was killed.  2004 - husband at that time was sleeping with a 15 year old.  2005 - I spent 2 seperate times in the mental hospital.  2006 - husband strung out on cocaine, cheating, etc so I divorced him.  2007 - lost my dream home and all I had, but gained a great man in my life (current hubby).  End of 2007 is when I had to kick out the people in my house, etc.
