Just got diagnosed, and feel very depressed

Hello everyone! About a month and a half ago I was diagnosed with MC. I first noticed about 2-3 bumps on my left bottom butt cheek. At this time I had just joined a gym about a little over a month before hand. So I thought to myself, "Well, I do go to the gym 4 days a week, I sweat there the most and I sit around in my clothes for a while, so its probably just acne." Of course I tried some acne body wash and not knowing what it was I would scratch the area, I also shaved that area or close to it as well. about a week or 2 later it got worse, so I went to my family doctor. She took a look and said it was MC. She told me she sees it all the time on her female patients, and that you can get it from a public toilet seat without using a seat cover. I don't know how true that is, but my gym was not kept very clean at all that's for sure. Anyways, she told me that they do go away on their own, but it could take 6 weeks or more, and it could spread to myself or others. She said I should see my GYN for treatment, so I made the appointment for as soon as I could. When I see her she asks me, "How do you know you have MC, and did you know your family doctor can treat you?" I told her my family doctor diagnosed me, and said to get treated by my GYN. She took a look and said it could be, so she swabbed it and sent it out. I waited a week and a half or the results and they came back positive. After all that she didn't have the right treatment so she sent a script in for podofilox to treat myself at home. And here I am today...I went back a little early to see her because I was terrified of all these little bumps I've been finding all over my body. I have OCD so I cry and break down. I spend a ridiculous amount of time examining my skin for bumps. they could be as small as this ---> . and I'll freak out. My GYN said not every little bump is MC and since its in an area that's usually covered it should be contained. Specially since with my OCD I wash my hands so much that they crack and bleed...she examined my body and saw nothing.. I hope she's right. I hope this site can give me some insite and support on my journey.
