Just diagnosed

I have just been diagnosed following an adrenal crisis in the ED, tests in the hospital, and now just home on medication.
It seems I am on quite a high dose at the moment, 50mg Cortisone Acetate in the morning, and 25 mg at midday.  I am to have further tests next week, blood tests, scan of the adrenals, and possibly pituitary tests and MRI pituitary.  However, they believe it has been all the steroids I have taken, particularly last few years, for severe asthma that has triggered it.  I am also diabetic (from the prednisone also!).  I also have GERD and they recommend surgery as this also upsets the asthma, but will wait until I am well enough.

I gather that the high dose I am on is because of the recent crisis and because I still feel very ill, so lethargic, lightheaded and some tummy pains and leg cramps.

Is it normal to be on such a high dose at the beginning of the disease following a crisis episode?

I contacted my endo Dr and it seems I was sent home on the wrong dose, so it is now halved. I was at a different hospital to where I see her, as I ended up in an ED. I think the pharmacy supplied the wrong dose of tablet, instead of 10mg tablet, gave me a 25mg instead. So all fixed now.

Still feeling very fatigued, 4 days after starting treatment. Is this normal? I was hoping to feel some improvement by now.

Also, is it wise to try and do things and be more active, despite the fatique?
