just cant come up for air
I just can't seem to come up for air lately. It seems as though, I am struggling and then struggling more.
My relationship is going to the dogs, my finances too, and now someone steals from my 11yr old fundraising money for our local holiday, it sucks that people don't see how hard I struggle. They only see the drugs they need and there own stupid selfish needs, and don't even try to understand that the money that was there was not even ours to begin with, it was for a raffle and then to steal the tickets too!?
My daughter just gave up, I tried to encourage her, but it didn't help any, she gave up selling the tickets and now we have to figure out a way to pay back the money and what about the poeple who bought the tickets?! We don't have a record of who bought the tickets and how much they bought so they are robbed of a chance to win anything at this event. My heart is just sick about the whole thing.
I just lost all hope and feel so discouraged about the whole thing, I confronted the father of the girl who stole the money and we are on the search for the lost tickets, but there is little hope in finding the tickets. they are probably in a dumpster somewhere. I feel so defeated and have no hope right now.
At best we can try to remember all the people who we sold tickets too and return the money. But that doesn't cure my daughters spirit.

that is terrible! and you know who did it.
can you go to the people running the fundraiser and tell them what happened, and who\'s responsible?
did she come into the house and just take it? how old is she? what about phoning the police, and making the girl who did it pay the money back?

sending out my prayers...prayers for the tickets, and for your daughter, but also for you guys ending up in a better place, where people like that are not part of your life...
Yeah I know who did it, I called my cousin, unfortunately it was my niece who took the money, and as for the tickets, I hope they will be recovered, and her father is making her pay back the money, thank you Jesus for that. I recently saw her and my niece ignored me and wouldn\'t talk to me. So she gave herself away immediately.
I have already gone to the committee and they are going to have a meeting about the whole incident. I am so heartbroken for my daughter, it just consumed me totally, I can\'t eat, sleep, function.
But regardless, I am giving it my best shot, I slept a total of 4 hours last night ate a egg sandwich, praying non stop for those tickets to show up somewhere.

That sucks. It\'s good that her father is making her pay back the money--not you.
It\'s so crazy how that can be--one person undoes the good work of so many people--but really, the fact that all those people bought tickets vs. one person stealing them shows that the majority of people are kind. Plus, that girl sounds like she just made a really bad choice and hopefully she\'ll grow and learn from it, and never do it again.
Praying is a good idea. If the tickets aren\'t found, maybe you\'ll have to figure out an alternate type of drawing--but still--what a mess.
Im sorry this has happened to you and your daughter. I would go to the police and possibly the local press. I know that people are usually very sympathetic to people when stuff like this happens.
What is wrong with people..... some people truly make me sick.... if you want something do what it takes to earn it... you dont just take it!!!!
