Just boarding the rollercoaster - wish me luck !
Well I seemed to have finally reached that inevitable point where I need to go see a solicitor.I was trying so hard to be amicable with my stbx - even to the point where I was helping her out with money when she moved into her new place..hey I was even paying for her Dental plan. I was trying to keep it all friendly I suppose for the sake of my 2 children but it takes 2 and my stbx is just being so un-reasonable.I have asked her if we can communicate to decide what we both want - regarding, either me staying in the house and buying her out, or selling the house. But in her, or somebody elses wisdom, she has decided that she doesn't want to communicate with me and wants to go through a solicitor. The reason I say somebody elses wisdom is that, her new partner has made it clear to her that he wants her to have no contact with me whatsoever, even with regard to our children. He even indicated to my stbx parents that they should give me back the spare door key to our home - he'd only been with my stbx for 2 months when he did this. Lucky enough I have known my stbx's parents for 21 years and we are very close so they told him to get lost! The strange part of all of this is that my stbx told me, when we were communicating, that she doesn't want a divorce and would just like to stay seperated for the rest of our lives - I know, not a SELFISH attitude at all !!!I think her idea is that she can try out this relationship and if it doesn't work out then she can come running back to MR Stupid here......well I think the light was finally switched on yesterday and I feel like I just want to get the house sorted out and pack a divorce into the bargain as well. So I should feel thoroughly depressed right?? I mean I may have to either take on a ginormous mortgage of sell it and buy a smaller house. I will have to pay £100's in solicitors fees and have the inconvienience of perhaps moving home ! So why do I feel so happy and liberated???? Its kind of a funny feeling - I was trying to keep everything as normal but its getting to the point where it is out of my hands. So I'm sitting here in work with a big smile on my face and feeling excited about the future ! So heres to, probably, the scariest rollercoaster ride I'll ever get on. Hope I come through OK...:)

I\'m very happy for you, Tony. I know this has been a very hard time for you and I\'m glad you\'re finally feeling at peace about this and you have a direction to go in rather than just waiting in limbo. I, too, think there will be some bumpy times for you but your positive attitude and your faith will get you through this. You know I wish you all the best. God bless :)
