Just another Monday
Well, back to work was ok. The boss gave his notice and he is done next Tuesday. We will just have 4 pt daytimers, 2 teens that can only do weekends so we are basically screwed. I am curious and a bit concerned who they will throw in with us but I have decided that it doesn't really matter to me . I am just going in and doing what I can. I'm no longer the assistant, getting paid much less and just considered a warm body so that is what I will be. (Ok I lie. I will always keep busy and do as much as I can and do a good job. That is who I am.)
After hearing from different friends they don't understand why I am not getting as much help with Medicare (Medicaid)and getting new info and packets from them I called. It turns out I do still have dual coverage (Medicare/Medicaid) plus my advantage so I think some (if not all) of my medical headaches will be gone. Thank God. I guess I will find out tomorrow as I will see if they deducted anything for pymt of my part B. when my check is deposited.
When you're diabetic medicare covers a new pair of diabetic shoes. The Foot Solution store called about my script and turns out I cannot just get a script from my PA. So I've gotta get an appt to see an MD or DO in the practice. (I'm wondering if I can call and pick up a script or maybe be seen as a walk in at urgent care.) It takes forever to get an appt.It seems every day there is another issue I must again double check somewhere or call about. Such is life .
Over all today has been the average ok day, one more I've muddled through.
I do hope everyone has an ok day.

If you qualify for medicaid, then you shouldn't need any medicare advantage plan because medicaid will cover the same things, and more, then all of the medicare advantage plans cover and will save you a pile of money. Check that out with someone who is an advocate for your state supported medicaid program and not someone who wants to make a profit off you buying a medicare advantage plan...I'm not sure exactly but I think to qualify for medicaid, you have to have a net income of under $22,000 but it could be higher. Not sure on that but it might be worth checking out.
I guess those free shoes have a cost of having to go to the doctor pay copay and also waiting....I wear Skechers
wow is all I can say. You have such complicated medical coverage. Boggles the mind. We have the Canada Health Plan and it covers doctors appointment, lab works and hospital stay. Plus more. We just show our health card and they do the rest. If something is added, it is automatically included for all. Hope you can get that sorted out. Hugs and stay safe
I have Medicaid and have been told I qualify for Medicare too but never applied. Medicaid does cover most everything but is awful when it comes to dental and I mean awful. It will cover a cleaning and X-rays and a cavity that’s about it I have been denied for root canal and partial so maybe Medicare might pick up more for dental?
