Just another day with PC

Just another day with PC, and it is so uncomfortable. The gas, bloating, and going to the bathroom. It's very hard for me to get use to this. I believe God does not put no more on us than we can bear. So I try to stay a positive about it as I can. The only thing is I wish people understood what I was really going through. Joining this group was really my wifes ideal and so far I am learning alot about PC. Just doing reaserch on the internet just gave me the basics. It appears that I have been losing weight, but not really sure how much, and will not know until I go to my doctor on 11-9-12. Then I will go from there to see what my next step is.

Welcome, praying for you. First off, Amen.....God won\'t give us more than we can handle. True believer, here! I think we all wonder when is it going to be too late to do anything? I take creon to help take the work load off my pancreas. What test or procedures have you had? I was just wondering. I would be more than happy to share all that I have endured. I tried to exhaust all means of finding another reason for the pain instead of CP. finally, God gave me peace to accept it and strength, grace and mercy to live with it. I will be praying for you and your family. hope your appointment goes well. I really think you will find a lot of answers and support here. The people I\'ve met are incredibly courageous.

The only thing I have had done was an EUS, and it revealed that I had PC. I had this done in Omaha, Ne. I then moved back to Topeka Ks to get support from my family, but they really don\'t understand what it is I am going through. I then went to a Gastro doctor here in Kansas and was told there was nothing else they would do unless I started to lose weight. They wouldn\'t even give me pain medication. So now I am trying to convey to my primary care doctor that I am now in more pain. So I will suggest creon and see what she thinks about it. Most of all thank you for your encouragement. I don\'t know alot about this condition, but any information is welcomed.

I am curious, you say PC...is that pancreatic cancer or is that supposed to read.. CP for chroinc pancreatitis? Just curious...I didn\'t think that I saw where you have cancer, but I wanted to be sure. Either way. I\'m still praying for you.
I had an EUS after 2 acute attacks, the EUS said I had pancreas divisum, and required stenting in my pancreatic duct. So naive as I was to this disease and the fact that the dr said it would fix me. I jumped on it. Well I had 2 stents and 3 ERCPs , it turned out that I did not have PD, just abnormalities in my duct, wether from my attacks or deformity doesn\'t matter now. I had a flare while the second stent was in place, they thought once they removed the stent I would not have pain anymore, well...2 years later still hurting. I am so blessed to only have the pain though. I rarely have nausea, I do have constipation and diarrhea.just depends on the day.lol you\'ll see we talk about some of the most private things LOL. Sorry. I even went to dr. Glenn Lehman in INDIANA univ. wonderful man and doctor. He did a biliary sphincterectomy....helped a little not much. I will soon be needing a follow up with. I had an elevated pressure due to scarring in that sphincter and he thought if he relieved the pressure it might help.
There are tons of med ps to look into...levsin and donnatal help the spasms...of course reflux meds and maalox helps the acid eruptions...(that is what I call them, I wake up sometimes with acid just exploding up into my throat.) then there is the narcotics that help with the pain...\"none of which anyone likes to take. I would deffinitely talk with your dr about the creon, ESP if you are starting to lose weight. I hope some of that helps. Prayers for a good dr. Appointment. ....ps. I hate you just got on and got a scam email. I always worry about those things. I set my profile to only allow friends to see it.
