Just Another Day Off
I would spend half my day doing phone calls. I got squeezed in for next Monday to redo eye surgery (shift lens back where it needs to stay) But it involved her coordinator checking several places to find one where I could get an EKG before then. That I got done no problem.
I broke a porcelain crown last night eating pretzels, so had to try to get a temporary . Made an appt half hour away but when there they had an issue with one of their machines so they could not do it .( Our office here in Hamburg has had a water advisory m-w. so they could not do it either. I am crossing fingers they can squeeze me in Fri if they are up again. Cross your fingers and say some prayers.) I really don't want to go through a week with a very broken very sharp tooth. (who looks like Broom Hilda. lol)
Had to call Merrill Lynch about getting info from 2016 form that should have been reported with our taxes. It seems they are trying to tax me for full amt of his 401k when most should have already been. Need to see if they can send me a copy. They gave me the run around... but if I fax them his death , our marriage , and 2 ids for me they may do it.
Resheduled a respiratory appt follow up and am doing that tomorrow after work.
My days do seem to fill up quickly . At this point not sure if that is good or bad. lol I will say with all the chaos and back to back appts, I am reminded I am capable and can do what I have to. (Even though I have the occasional moment when I feel overwhelmed an inept. I did it before, I'll do it again. )
Still have not checked into counseling, but have had a full plate and (quite truthfully) YOU ALL have been my "therapy" up til now. haha Thanks, BTW. :)

Congratulations on rolling with the punches. You seem more resilient now than when I first followed you--good for you. Life is full of surprises and challenges, but you are holding your own. God is always there for us too, when we ask Him. My brother who was living with me died suddenly November 20. At first I not only missed him, I worried how I would cope without his help. But since then, God has provided all sorts of helping hands for those things I can't do. So happy new year to us both.
Yes indeed.
I am sorry for your loss.
I do believe we are fortunate to realize that we do have someone bigger watching out for us. (Especially these days.)
I send hugs and thank yous. Kim
did I tell you thanks for the Christmas card? TYVM......it came late but the post office is messed up.....things are going missing or delivered later....

Since I got 6 implants after my accident I am nervous about damage. Never thought of it with the real teeth. Guess when you know how much it costs it’s different.
Busy can keep you having momentum. As much as I like a little down time I like moving more.
Good luck with your appts:)
sorry that things keeping you busy aren't more enjoyable ones but it is glad to hear you are tackling things and that you keep pressing on. I was worried about you young lady. How dare you do that to me!!! obviously just kidding and so glad you are hanging in there. Wishing you better times ahead. We all find you therapeutic too! XOXO
Thanks everyone. Jason I can remember when I first got my crowns I was very careful too .But as time went on and others said they are there for good I did gradually take more risks and took them for granted. Who knew that every 15 years or so they will get temperamental and give an expensive reminder? lol Hard pretzels did me in.
Bkind.. I was a bit worried myself and did not mean to scare ya. (wink, wink) Thanks for caring and more than that, you made my day by calling me a young lady instead of an old fart. bahaha
Today is Friday and I am still snaggletooth. Dentists could not get me in. My surgery is Monday. I have to find out if I need to wait before having it fixed as I don't want to risk the lens shifting again. I told them I'd rather stay snaggletooth a bit longer and be able to see 20/20. lol
I have one crown and I broke it eating hard candy....sucked.....
This is the second time I did this. But that was about 15 yrs ago. You think I'd learn??? lol
I'll be thinking of you. I hope surgery goes well on Monday. By the way you definitely aren't an old fart!! As long as your heart and spirit are young you are too!!
I am grinning here.... Yes my fraggle tooth grin . bahaha
gosh you have a lot on your plate Kim but you have such a wonderful attitude to life.
Crowns are such a pain and stressful too..
Hope everything goes well for you on Monday.
Thank you. I keep on trying. That's all we can do. :)
