Just another bad day
This is day 2 of my latest boutĀ of severe doubt in whether or not I can do this. I am normally a strong, positive person but struggle with these 2 or 3 days bouts of severe emotional instability. Lately they are becoming more frequent which is starting to be a concern. I thought it would be getting a little bit easier by now but seems to get harder each day. I have never been alone and I hate it. My late husband was a very private guy so I have been left with very few close friends and a family that can't seem to even communicate with me anymore. It feels like they have all forgotten about me and just assume I am ok. Well surprise...I am not. So here I am looking for support from strangers. That is what my life has come too. I have a 23 year old handicapped daughter who is also an emotional mess but I don't have the strength to help myself let alone her right now. Anyone out there feeling the same or been in this stage of grief that can offer suggestions??

When my husband died I had never lived alone either. We were together since high school. I\'m here and understand. Sharon
As if all of this isn\'t bad enough, now my daughter has decided to move into a group home for the next month. She is really strugglng too and thinks living somewhere else will take away the pain. Now I am really alone.
Grief has a funny way of sneeking in on you in these things. I don\'t think the effect will really help your daughter, since avoidance rarely does, it comes back or waits. But this will give you time to let go of always holding it together for her support. A child\'s grief is different than a spouses grief. She was born into that relationship, you chose that life with him.
Take it easy, I speak often of calgon moments, even though I shower, but the idea is, it\'s hard to separate the tears from the bathwater. So take time to care for your greif. remember he fell in love with you too for many reasons that are still with in you.

BTW stranger with this in common...we are aware of the same pain, where many times friends and family can\'t grasp it because when they hurt...they are comforted by their spouse. If you haven\'t already wrote your thank you notes, add a few lines to some that say, \"maybe a lunch or afternoon movie would be nice, if you can\"
