Just a new poem from me

I just wrote this tonight for a writing group.  Thought I'd share since nobody has heard a peep from me on my journal in a long time.
 
Around the corner lies the unknownIt may bring light or may be blackHow I long to know what's up aheadTho if I did I might turn backAround the corner when I arrivethere stood before mea most frightening sightan attempt I made for clarityAround the corner there I stoodafraid to move lest I fallinto that pit so dark and deepno different route around at allAround the corner I bowed my headsending God my deepest cryI cannot avoid this all alonethe abyss behind in the meadow I lie~Sherry
