Just a little more effort....
Well heck fire. Another Friday, and this morning I worked at my desk in a wheelchair until my spouse pulls me out and I get dressed and flop on the bed. I have learned to balance my notebookcomputer on my chest, and type. not fun. I have 6 grants to write, and two reports to finish. Got a call that a downtown development project was funded to the tune of $30,000 dollars, but I am going to have to call in a consultant friend to do the project for me because I CAN'T DRIVE. Arghhh.Oh wait. I can't sit upright for more than 2 hours at a time. Arghhhh. Ok. But I made 10 circles with the walker around the house. I did 7 sets of wall push ups. Iwalked around using crutches for the first time in 6 weeks. So now I am working on muscle strength and flexibility and balance. At least It makes me feel better, although I decided to not do the CPK blood test today, but start doing the test every two weeks.I'm at 2800, so we'll assume I'm dropping. And I asked my dad to drop by my stationary bike for simple cycling. And I bought a tall drafting stool for my desk. Good thing I can work from home! So soon, right? I'll be able to get out of a chair......

When is the magic question, but you are progressing well so far. I am amazed!!! keep finding what you can do without over doing it and flopping for the whole day... this is the time to call in favors, ask for help, and just wait it out. Stationary bike may be harder than you think. Don\'t try that without your PT there. I could not even sit well in a car for a few months. I would tip over when my husband turned a corner. there was a period i did better driving because i had something to hold onto!!! But now driving is easy again.
Pick one project at a time and see how y ou do. You could also try Dragon Naturally speak and see if that frees you up to get more done without being out of bed. I think it is important to keep the mind busy along witht he body if you can, and you seem like one of those gals. I am too...
Hang in there, you are doing great!!!
