Just A Little Bit Of Personal Progress

Yesterday, at my parents' house, I was exposed to a lotion (my dad's) that was a rosacea trigger for me. I immediately washed off (with my raw honey), applied pure aloe vera gel, changed my shirt, and did a red light therapy session of 5 minutes. Afterwards, I followed that up with a nutritious meal of pink salmon (for the anti-inflammatory omega-3s) and a cup of room temperature, organic coffee (for its vaso-constricting effects).

The result?... I stopped the rosacea progression before a flare could occur!!! WOOT!

This is the first time I've ever been able to get out in front of a flare and prevent it after being exposed to a trigger. I'd definitely call that a little bit of personal progress in living with neurogenic rosacea.

I find myself wanting to argue the "little bit." That is an awesome level of awareness and a plan you can build on. I am excited for you!!! Way to ply the therapy tools. May it be the start of a whole new era.

Well done. Go Jenn!!! Little bits can make big diffs.

Thank you so much, arfie!!! Ever since diagnosis, I've been so afraid to get back out there and live life, but the more I manage to get a handle on this, the more I think rebuilding is possible. :)

Healing happens, Jenn. Glad it's happening to you. Sincere gratitude for letting us bear witness. The healing of one is the healing of us all.

May the rebuild be even better than the original.
