Just a great day!

So today was one of those hang around the house days with my family. My daughter had a girlfriend over and they did what 12 year olds do, and my husband and I sat on the couch reading and watching t.v. It was so nice. It is amazing how different your outlook on life becomes when you are living with a disease like MDS.
I also broke out of my mute stage, by that I mean that I have for the first time begun calling friends back, talking to people. It was too hard last week as I was devastated. Now I have taken back my life and will continue to live it to the fullest, I did not do that before MDS but I will now. My goodness, the things we need to happen to make us appreciate all that we have....have a nice night! xx

Hey Jeanine! Glad u had a good day. Not sure about your diagnosis... will have to look it up. These diseases can be so complicated. My next Dr appointment is on 3rd September and it is just my platelets that are the problem right now. Between 20-30 mostly. And yeah BMT is something I will be looking at too in the next few years. They have found a donor for me already! My MDS is secondary because I was treated for Aplastic Anemia just over 10 years ago, so it may be more aggressive (well they say anyway). So what saved me the first time, is making me sicker the next...

Anyhow, u seem like u have a great postiveness to get thru all this. Glad u have family around to support u. Take care. And if u have any more questions... let me know! xx Jules
