Just A Bit Worried...

I have alot of medical things scheduled and to be looked into this week... Yesterday I went for an overdue follow up for a hip reduction and total knee I had done 4 years ago. Both do look well, but I have been having issues and pain when doing quite a bit for well over a week. My orthos asst did look at old xrays and it seems there is a wire loose and missing from my pelvis (unsure if it is necessity or was simply in there toHold original shattering of the joint over 30 years ago ? ( I go back in a week to review pain level and results from bloodwork I went for this morning.) She said the bloodwork would tell if there was anything working around in there.

I am taking off Thursday and Friday for a scheduled out patient surgery... Nothing too serious but require taking it easy for a few days. (Bonus is my ortho says take advantage and try to rest the overworked wounded hip) THe problem is--- you know me... I took the day after off-- Friday, but figured I should go back to work the week end. So I  have a full day scheduled on Saturday then a bday party for my great niece after.  Then another full day on Sunday.    I was finally going over my preadmission and post op instructions ... not to lift more than 5 lbs. Ha , like that will happen!.  (I assume that is just a day or so, but plan on being cautious and letting the boss load my heavy  stuff for a day or two.   I am sure he won't mind since at least I am there to work)

Oh yeah... this morning did bloodwork for my ortho then a mammogram. (Most excitement the girls have had in ages ... but NOT in a good way...OWWW)  Finally taking care of getting things up to date  and not foreseeing any real issues once things are all done... Just hoping the other pain does clear up.  I really do need to take better care of myself.   ( Need to lose weight and strengthen everything ...but I am working on it and will be more dilligent in the future. )

Hey queenie- nhugs- You have a busy week ahead. It is good though to get it all out and done and just grab the bull by the horns.
I det like that to- like I get so consumed in whatever projects Im currently targeting and then when I tell folks oh I just have like 8 exams scheduled this week( I mean appointments , they are like baffled. No I just get what I have to get done. And yes like it will be routine regular appts that just have to be taken care of. Im sure all will go well- but I know I hate that little nervous feeling-.
Do take it easy- you deserve to take a break and just rest and your body will thank you soo much : )

Another Update--- Went back to Orthopedist. They say hip is all good. No worries about wire. They think it may have to do with my back issues (degenerative disk disorder) Can be similar to psiatica but not at tailbone. When I do have problems, it is on the lower left of my pelvis ( Careful to lift with my legs, but if bent enough, it went to that hip) Anyhow... PT for a month to work on the back . Also gave the green light to get back on the bike (with or without a pain in my ass. lol)
