June 8, 2011 - update with Biggest Winner and 5K Training
The 5K training and the Biggest Winner are now complete. With the Biggest winner, we as a team lost 1.67%. Not too bad. I am continuing with my good eating habits. I stopped drinking pop, due to my health. It has paid off alittle bit. I lost another 2 lbs, down to 179 lbs. Now I need to knock off the 170's now. My size 16 pants are now floating on me. I need to go out and buy some size 14 pants. 40% of my weight loss has been accomplished. I ultimate goal is to get back down to 145 but my immediate goal is 165. If I can get back down to 165, I'd be a size 12.
The 5K training runs are now over with. June 2nd was the last outing. It was a nice breazy day. Corporate challenge is tomorrow. I need to pick up my packets - they never said they would be ready. I might have to stop down at the PT dept to see whats going on. It will probably be like last year - the day of. Thats ok. On June 16, there is another meeting at the sports store about continuing with the running group sometime in July. I think its the week after I come back. Good timing. I need to continue with this. 50% there. I think I will run 1/2 the corporate challenge this year.
I didn't run/walk too much this week because on Saturday - I volunteered for the Tour De Cure bicycle run for diabetes. I must have gotten bit or something, I got this huge red spot on my lower left side on my back. It left me kinda ill for a few days. I bought some benedryl to take so I can get rid of this nausea I have had. So far, its working. Its not so sore. I got up at 3:45am in the morning on saturday to volunteer at the check in tent. It sure is exhausing. Today is the 1st day I actually felt good. I am not getting any younger.
Anyways, I need to get off before someone catches me on DS. New boss = new rules. Oh well. I will get on illegally here and there. At night too, when I get a chance.
Catch up to you later.

Great Job!!! You can do it - you\'re half way there already!!! Just keep it up... and I\'ll let you know that running kind of gets in your blood too!! Or it did in mine once I started!
Hi Jen! i\'m so proud of you and your team. :) You all did very well, and each step, is a wonderful positive step. :) congratulations to you all, on the wonderful efforts, and great progress you all have made together. :) You all are a team, and are winners. :) i pray that your back is alright, and hopefully the swelling from the bit will ease. i once got bitten by a spider on my foot, and had to go to the hospital. if swelling/bite mark doesn\'t heal, definitely go to the doctor\'s. You all are in our thoughts and prayers. :)
sending our very best positive healing energy, and well wishes, and positive encouragement. :)
Way to go Jenn. I haven\'t been on here much lately due to spring weather and all my outdoor activities. I was sure happy when I was weighed at the dr.s office yesterday at 208 lbs. I have been walking every day, changed my eating habits and pop consumption too. So far I have only 9 more pounds to loose to hit my long term goal of 199lbs. When I reach my goal I will have lost 26 pounds in approx. one year and a half. I know how hard it is to lose weight. My support goes out to you Jenn. Keep up the good work. Have a great vacation too!
hugs n prayers
El
You are doing great on your weight loss. Keep going at it. You will be there in no time. Continuing with your training is a good idea too. You rock!
