June 22, 2011 - trip down to Denver!

Got up at 7 yesterday so I can straighten up with apartment and gather everything together.  Debbie came and picked me up promptly at 10.  She dropped me off, went through security in one piece and waited at the gate to get my flight to Raliegh NC then on to Denver CO.  Got on the flight.  Sat next to this black girl who lived in DC.  Then this woman who sat in the isle seat was going to Denver to see her sister.  She was following the same flight schedule as me.  She was nice but liked to talk too much. We stopped at Baltimore to drop and pick up passengers.  Got to Raleigh NC airport and didn't have to go far to get my connection, it was the next gate.  Talk about convenience.  Didn't have to leave the area at all.  Once I got on the plane, I sat toward the back because I didn't want to sit near the wing.  I sat next to this couple who was from Raleigh (they had an accent).  We had a great time.  Just before we landed, I checked my tracphone I said "oh crap!  I don't have it in my purse".  I would have panicked but I didn't.  I remained calm and waited patiently.  Anyways, she found me inside, she had to pay and park ($3.00) and we went on our marry way.  We went to lunch at this high scale type restaurant.  I ordered 2 chocolate martini's.  I sipped the 1st one but downed the 2nd one (at least I got her laughing and relaxed at the restaurant).  Anyways, moral of the story and a mental note, make sure I have some mode of a cell phone or tracphone with me at all times. Especially with this situation.  I know I will probably hear about it later from my parents and later today with my brother.  I will remain composed from them.  
Right now, I am sitting on her computer.  She went out to run/walk today (she didn't feel that I would be up to it - I needed to acclimate to the climate).  I am tired but I am still on Buffalo NY time (I am 2 hrs behind).  I need to get going and take a quick shower.  Kelly and I have our nail/hair appts today at 10:30am.  Kevin (brother) is coming in at 4:30.  He's sitting at the buffalo airport as we speak waiting to board.
 
I will check in with you in a few days.  We are leaving for Witchita Kansas for the wedding tomorrow at 7:30am.  Dan (brother in law) said it would take roughly 8 hrs.  We wanted to get there by 5pm.  Last I heard, my parents stayed in indianapolis Indiana for their rest stop last night.   Kelly said that indianapolis is known for their barbaque but they were eating Pizza.  They will continue to drive and hopefully arrive in Witchita around 2-3pm.
