Did do my walk yesterday at 3.7 miles. According to the schedule the sports store sent us - our walk should be on a saturday now. It was a pleasant day. Tomorrow I plan on doing 3 miles at the gym again (not the full workout). Now I will be on a Mon/Wed/Fri schedule. I'll have to incorporate some chicken with my salad. No real running workouts are planned. I will plan on resuming doing the incline workout on Wed at 3.7 miles at 45 minutes again. I am running the St Gregory 5K on friday. I registered online and all I have to do is pickup my # and shirt.
Went to my high school alumni dinner with my parents (they graduated the same high school, 1959), my aunt and uncle were there (Aunt bunny graduated in 1957), My uncle (my aunt (she graduated in 1954, who passed a few years ago) was there - he is an honorary member. Also friends Hubba (Graduated in 1964, he is mayor of Angola and running for town of evans supervisor) and his wife Marge (was my sisters 6th grade teacher). Took lots of pics. Of course I danced - the macarana and the YMCA played. Dad got a hold of my camera and took about 10 pics. Jeesh...he didn't drink all night, just water. Too funny. Nobody from the class of 1985 showed up, I was it! Infact, no one from the 1980's showed up. Thats at least 1000 people, right there. I don't think they care. Thats a shame. There were was only me, and 2 other girls from the 1990's who were the young ones. pretty sad, thats for sure. Whats gonna happen when everyone else dies off and we are the only ones standing. No one to carry the tradition alive.
Well, only 10 days (probably 8, I counted wrong), until I leave for Denver. I think I got my dress yesterday. I stopped at Kohls and found a cute dress. Its white,black and teal blue. Really pretty. I need to get a few shorts and some tank tops for the trip.
I really hope this week goes fast. Thursday is the meeting for the next 5k training group run. I'm gonna investigate. I am still gonna run with the wed night group at the store. hopefully they have a group night either mon, tue or thur evenings. That should keep me going. Will see what happens.
Friday is my mammo. Yep, a year and a 1/2 already flew by since my cancer diagnoses (6 months since my last lumpectomy). I am hopeful that the mammo will read clear margins. Hopefully due to the fact that I have been exercising more and paying attention to my eating habits.
I just found out my childhood dr passed away on thursday. Mom never mentioned it. He was 92 years old. Wow. Impressive.
Anyways, everyone have a wonderful week. I will check in from time to time. I figured I would send a quick journal so I won't have to during the day at work (since it would be illegal).
