July 20, 2015
I have not been on this site for a year, at least. Mom had brain surgery, Dad's Parkinson's had progressed, and I have been in the hospital a few times. My new sobriety date is January 21, 2015.
For a while I went off of the pain patch, and stayed off it for two months, but the doctor put me back on it after I was in the hospital four times in one month. My life had gotten very disorganized and I had gotten very discouraged and nonmotivated. My hope is that being now on recently adjusted medications, I will able to fulfill my Purpose.
On January 20, I decided that if I were ti get sober I was going to have to have a purpose, and that purpose is to make the best life possible for me and my family. So far, except for the June glitch caused by being off kilter on meds, I have done very well.
So I come back to this site after being absent for over a year, with a new freedom and new hope and aspirations. I want something more out of my life, and I want a better life for me and my parents.
