Journey to Great Credit

So I received an offer in the mail to clear this from my credit for 40% off. I sent $520, and they told me to make arrangement for the balance. I mailed this before the deadline. Its not my fault it took too long for them to open it. It is still dated several days before the due date. They also said I did not "make arrangements over the phone," but the letter did not say that I had to call.
