Journey and the Boating trip..

We made it to the concert on Friday. The traffic was horrible. We set through two or three red lights for atleast an hour. Bikers were passing us on the inside lane and one got hit by a car coming across the road and didnt see the bike. A man and woman on the bike were strewn into the street. Thank God they were not hurt bad. Been there done that. Alvin had just said five seconds before they got hit " We should have drove the Harley up" sheesh. Anyway my son Ryan and Millie drove their own truck up and were ahead of us. We missed all of Cheap Trick but got there in time for Heart.. They were awesome.. Then Journey came on.. Totally awesome.. the new singer sang just like Steve Perry... Fantastic concert.. It was an outdoor arena and it was standing room only.. I swear there were 100,000 people there of all ages. Im glad that I didnt miss it. We went out on the boat Saturday and stayed until Sunday afternoon. Me and Al and Ryan and Millie and my other son Dakota.. We had a great time. The boat had not been out in 15 years. It belonged to my ex and he kept it in his shop so it looks like a brand new boat. Its yellow and white and my dodge truck is yellow. When we were unloading the boat we got lots of compliments on the boat and truck.. It was awesome... We went to a place called Strawberry Resevoir.. Totally beautiful and the water was about 67 degrees. I even jumped in to cool off. We had two sets of friends up there so Ryan went wakeboarding on one of their boats as we were not set up to pull him for our first time out. He had fun but got tired.. Our other friends were fishing and caught some nice size rainbow trout. We had brought fishing poles but hadnt gotten our fishing liscenses so we didnt fish although I really wanted to. Should have just went into the store there and bought some but we didnt.. We will be more prepared next time. The kids helped clean the boat and then left for home and that was it for the weekend.. A good time was had by all. Thank God for Gary leaving me all his prized possesions when he died. If it wasnt for him I wouldnt be able to give my sons the life I never had.. Dakota and I were talking (Gary was Dakotas dad) and we thought we should of had Gary cremated and dumped his ashes into Lake Powell. That was his favorite place in the whole world until he gave up on life and drank himself to death..  My poor Dakota is missing his father alot.. He hopes the boat will still be in good shape when he gets married so he can take his kids out on it.. He is my big Teddy Bear... Love my kids.. And I love all my friends on DS. You all are the reason that I am trying to stay sane and enjoy the remaining years of my life. Bless you all for being here for me and giving me a laugh. You all are truly wonderful.. Never forget this.. Y'Vonne
