JOURNEY

In this journey that we that are in this group, to me seams I take several steps forward and lots of steps many steps ..I do not know if we just continue to stay on the cycle going round and round....I have yet learned to continueing going forward....I seem to miss Kenny more and more everyday.  Maybe it just haunts me   AnD everyime there is another mom Hurting, it makes myheart break. They say it gets easier..this journey just seem to hurt....A journey-non of us asked for...a journey that each of us wisg we could change.  A journey that brings so much pain....deep pain that I do no believe ever ends.....

I believe that whomever says this path gets "easier" isn't living into it as we are. I don't feel it becomes "easier," yet changes and becomes something that each of us learns how to integrate into the fabric of our beings to live with. Loss and Life learning how to co-exist together becomes our work and to me there is no one more courageous on the face of this earth than a mother who has had to say good-bye to her child (children). This is not something that I would wish on anyone, yet we are not alone and somehow we continue on as best as we are able. Not always pretty, often messy, yet one baby step at a time.

Gentle care to Ken's mom from Douglas and me,

Hi Sandi, I agree with Joanie. I don't feel this journey gets easier either. The pain changes and for me has become more manageable as I learn to live with it but not easier. I think all of us would agree that although the intensity of the pain may become more manageable, there are moments when it can still feel raw. The difference for me is that when I have a rough patch, I ride out the wave and seem to recover quicker. But the longing is always there.

Sending you and dearest Kenny lots of love, Linda

I think we all "hear" certain words in different ways....at different times. For me, for today, this part of my earth experience has gotten easier....MUCH easier. I miss Kala SO much, and always will of course, but the debilitating heartache is over....THANK GOD! The missing gets intense at times, but I just have to remind myself of what I REALLY, TRULY, and DEEPLY believe......

KALA IS!

BUT, I DO get it, I DO hear you, and I DO understand!!

Tight heart hugs sweet lady~

I long for my girls as you for your child, Ken. It will never ever be the same yet I am trying to cope so that I honor them. Peace for today. Love Kathy

The management may get easier and harder all at the same time. The loss never gets easier the hole we have in our heart is ever present and we are reminded everyday as we cannot touch our child/children. The outsiders do not understand because they have not experienced the pain we have, no excuse but they do have hoof and mouth disease ( put foot in mouth before thinking)

Sending tight hugs to you

This year I have missed my son at a more intense level. But yet the acceptance is more a part of my reality. Learning and sharing with our friends here has helped so much. As you have shared stories about Ken, I feel how special he is and how you treasure your memories. You were truly blessed. Gentle hug, Debbie

Certain days are harder for me, sometimes life issues cause more pain. The day Matthew passed away, I knew the pain would be with me forever, I believe accepting that helped me. It never gets easier, we just become more adept at dealing with it. Love you, I'm sorry.

Most days, the guilt and sadness are more than I can bear. Guilt that I am here and did not save him. Guilt that he trusted I could make it better through doctors, and medicine and chicken noodle soup. Most days it still makes me cry.

Those who say it gets easier, have not lost a child; or are in denial. I too feel sad when I hear that another mom is grieving the loss of a child. The pain is part of us now. Tight hugs, marlene

I do not believe the pain ever goes away!! I have simply learned to accept the fact, Dean is gone and he is not coming back. As for it getting easier.....that has not happened for me either. I am sorry for your pain.
