Journal, I Hope
Can't figure out how to change the font. I copied & pasted my recent journal onto this new one as everyone couldn't seem to access it. I'm thinking it must be something to do with saving it as a draft & not clicking on the publish tab. My brain I think is getting too old for new technology LOL. I'll probably try & follow this one with another new one as I've got a few more things to share.
Well here I am. Still finding my way around the new DS but I've discovered Im not the only confused one around. Have a feeling the font here might be too small but I can't so figure out how to change it.
I'm feeling reasonably good. Some days are a real roller coaster ride but I focus on just going with the flow. One thing I'm having trouble with is feeling like life is leaving me behind. I feel like I'm being neglected by me, does that make sense. I try & find some times to do something for me but it's just not going as regularily as I thought it would. Trying to rethink this whole picture. I'm not whining though, it's not a poor me thing. Hubby needs quite a bit of care & this is where the Lord & the world want me to be. I feel like I just need to rethink my daily schedules sort of. Oh well, such is life right.
I see my diabetes dr on Wed afternoon. My blood glucose tests seem to be almost too balanced right now & I'm curious to see how it will be reflected in my lab tests. I think I really need to pay attn to what I'm doing right so I can keep on this track. Now if I could get better control over the Lupus side of things wow imagine that. Talk abt a lofty goal to fight for but hey why not right.
I've been having moments where I'm missing volunteer work. There's a part of my heart that just really feels like it needs to give to the community somehow but hubby points out & it's true, I don't know how I could manage it energy wise. I'm praying that if the Lord and the world need my help he'll present the situation to me & I'll know.
Not getting to the gym super regularily but I try to take my bike out at least once during the week & then tending to stuff around the yard as best I can I figure physically it will balance out when all is said & done.
I'm bored with meals lately and I think I've fallen into a rut of same old, same old. I'm realizing I need to maybe spend some time with my recipes & try to up the game here a bit. It's hard on the note that hubby is more a basic meat & potatoes type of person where I can branch out a bit more and I don't know if I want to have to focus on diff foods for both of us. I mean I have to do gluten free which he is good witg. So maybe I need to spend some time with my recipes & maybe find some happy mediums so we can meet in the middle.
I guess thats abt it for now. I so look forward to all my friends thoughts & comments.

Hey, I can see it! lol... it seems as though taking care of your hubby IS volunteering, of sorts. You are doing a lot, I am guessing, each day and try not to be too hard on yourself. You take care of him, you watch your diabetes numbers and that's probably quite a lot. As far as cooking goes, I like the posts on facebook where they show a mini cooking tutorial and the recipes are easy but something new that I hadn't thought of. I've been making zoodles... spiralizing zucchini and then baking until they partly dehydrate and then adding butter and parm... pretty good! Things like that are fun when you have veggies coming out your ears. But i hear you, cooking can get boring and predictable. Another thing I like to do, and my guys really love it, is to add steamed veggies to a dish and cover with beaten eggs and cheese. Like a frittata or crustless quiche. Super easy but they think it is gourmet. I'm trying to exercise more too. Maybe we just need to mark it on the calendar like a dr. appt. If it was a dr. appt, we wouldn't just skip over it that day, right??? "Dr. Mb, 11am" and "Dr.K3 X:00 am" haha. Hang in there. We are both doing more than we think!
