Journals
I have written so many journals since I've been on DS. Most of them dealt with issues I was confronting at the time. Some of them were calls for help. Others for reassurance. Some, technically, should never appeared here because they had nothing to do with the problems I and others were experiencing. My Christmas stories are a good example. And then there was the venting when something went wrong or someone did me wrong. Journals about Foxy and Kit were written to share my joy and sadness of having such loving little friends. There were other journals that were deleted as soon as I wrote them and still others that at the time seemed worth writing, but after a day or two of thinking about them, never made it. This is a place to lay your burdens down, but sometimes I feel I'm wallowing in self pity when I write them. I don't know where my journals will lead me and I'm not sure I want to take the trip. But, I want to thank all my friends for putting up with them. Your support of me over the years has kept me going and I thank you.

Hi! I, personally, have enjoyed reading your journals. That\'s what it\' all about, I think. DS is a place where we can write whatever we feel at that moment without anyone getting in our faces (so to speak) when they don\'t think like we do. I too feel like I am wallowing in self pity and so I haven\'t even written on those days, because I tell myself that nobody cares or wants to read about someone elses problems. But that means I am missing the point. DS is for us....not for whoever might read it. I\'m going to tell myself in the future to always speak from my heart....no matter what my heart is feeling at that moment. It\'s okay! We are all unique creatures and deserve to be heard, to live our lives however we can.
So....thank you for helping me to discover more about how I react to stuff while thinking about you.
My biggest problem is, after reading someone\'s journal, I can\'t think of what to say/write, so 99% of the time, I just read it and don\'t comment.
Take care, and keep on keeping on being you!
Hugs!

Correction: So... Thank you for helping me to learn how I react to what people write, and thinking about how to respond to them that will help in some small way is what I meant to say. I hope some of that made sense. LOL
ITS GOOD TO SHARE, YOU ARE WELCOME, I JUST WISH YOU WOULD STOP SMOKING, IT BRINGS PAINFUL MEMORIES, MY FRIEND DIED FROM IT LAST JULY, LOVE LUCY***
I feel the same way precious Mike. Coping alone with illness in our society as disposable as it treats such people is a frightening nightmare I am often not sure of just how to endure -- to live any quality life. Any longer there is severe PTSD from just too much trauma layered on top of even more trauma without any of the support which would have allowed for proper healing and a quality life to be lived in spite of such circumstances.
My journaling keeps my heart from breaking even more and allows me to hang on for the day -- that is a HUGE success under these circumstances. It has allowed for my life to continue.
Gentle ((hugs)) shared
Our journals are our lives and should be whatever we are coping with in this life -- especially if alone with illness where we have faced being left as though we were already dead.
