i totally lovvvve cats and i admire "steve's heroics", but i was on the "bitches goin HARD as a muthafuqqa" site on facebook, and they say soooo many outrageous things.  i couldn't stop laughing.  or maybe its just me today.

headed to the marina, waaay too late.  saw w yesterday and he had a list of things wrong with the exterior of our house and how to fix.  so this morning i started peeling off the green stuff, what is that called, by our deck.  he says, decks only last ten years in florida and next year is year ten for our deck.  our deck is HUGE, like 20 by 25, good to know how fun a big deck is, it really is, but have no idea how that will go.  shouldn't surprise me, its august.  the light on the deck is tilting.  also need exterior white paint and need to put this mildew resistor powder in it.  then i need 2 by 6's or 6 inch screws for another part of it.  always august when there are allll kinds of craps going on.  always.

ironically, i was on the phone with steven's father lately a lot, actually.  but that isn't the same steven.  haven't posted that mini drama yet either.  i'm building up to it, its in draft and then i edit out most of it.  lol.

That picture cracks me up! LOL!!! As for the deck, there\'s always something that needs to be updated on a house, isn\'t there? Ugh. Hope yours doesn\'t cost too much! *HUGS*

I\'m glad I don\'t own a house sometimes. You have to put so much money into it besides rent. Here, they pay our water and garbage, free pest control, pool,, and everything. My stepdad owns his own house and he needs it tented for termites because they are eating all the wood. He already has to make repairs. Then next year he needs a new roof. Just money money money.

yeah, condo living is DEFINITELY better and is REAL living, everyone else does the labor and you just pay a maintenance and tax bill each month. plus, you still get a return on the investment, but the maintenance and taxes can be high. a luxury building is around $500 per month for that and a smaller complex is around $300 per month (plus mortgage if the person has one).

a house averages $200 per month in repairs plus $200 per month in taxes (in florida only. in the northeastern usa its more than triple that) and then a cheapie bill for insurance. For older couples, they should opt for mortgage insurance as after age 45 getting life insurance is unlikely, and with mortgage insurance the house is paid off if a breadwinner dies).

all the financial articles now tell people NOT to buy at all, because its a renters market, and cheaper to rent and if you must buy, then only buy land. land tax with no structure is super cheap like $45 per month or $500 per YEAR and its also some kind of return on investment (and a place to go if things get realllly bad with the economy, just camp out (i actually know a guy who did this when he was going from living in his condo to living at his newly opened animal sanctuary. lol.).

my favorite scenario is a small house on big land one block from timeshare on the ocean with pool etc. timeshare only costs 500 per YEAR in taxes and insurance and has year-round use of the amenities like the pool and spa. if the house is small the taxes are less and less to fix - i only need the land because of the animals and have a feeling that will have to be separate one day soon. i reallllly need acreage with a BARN for them or a barn with an office for \"camping out\".

yeah, the money thing sucks, it makes life so boring to focus on it at all.

You\'re laughin cuz it\'s funny! LOL...

Yea, reading what your prices are down there is an amazing thing to me....here in Jersey. Just for starters, our property taxes are eight thousand dollars a year. Can you imagine that? Do ya get why we\'re trying to move? And ya can\'t sell your house in this economy.

People are doing what you said though. If they really want out....they move, rent their Jersey home and pay someone to look after it as \"landlord\"! We know two people that have done that, just to get out of here. I, however, don\'t really want to have to worry about what\'s going on my Jersey home (which I\'ll still have to pay to repair, cuz it\'s still mine)....and trying to relax and retire in another state. It\'s a real big problem!

you can do a reverse on it and then take whatever cash is left and buy something in the poconos, its cheaper there and the taxes are less. you can still sell the jersey home later. there is also a law that if on certain kinds of disability you don\'t pay property tax, but i don\'t know if that is just florida?

so sorry about your situation darla.

glad you think its funny as well! i\'m actually getting grief on that joke! wtf? i knew NOT to trade the joke at church because the word \"looting\" is in there. but about 50% of the people i traded this joke with, were offended and said i should know better since i do rescue....I LOVE CATS! i\'m all FOR that steve rescued the cats! i would do the same thing actually, i just think its funny! the look on his face...etc. the dumbness of it. whatever!

the site i get those from are bitches goin wild like a mothafuqqa, something like that, and i have now learned NOT TO SHARE a lot of their stuff. sooooo many people find it offensive, even though in the real world people say stuff like that alllll the time, always seemed funny to me.

i said this to tna and she says a lot of people don\'t go out in the real world at all. they live in their own little cave and sit back and judge, probably true. i KNEW not to send it to church...never occurred to me how many people wouldn\'t like it in real life. should have known though because that site has been taken off of facebook before (better make copies of as much of their stuff as i can. lol.) i would think by the age i am now i\'d know better. guess not. i sent it to kvk and he is like an icecube right now. and i\'m like FOR REAL? WTH? he doesn\'t even have a cat, he says its the reference to looting he doesn\'t like. i was going to send it to br, except i know br\'s house was looted (and lived in!!) during the big hurricanes in 2004, so he would hate the joke totally. grrrrr.
